Description

Beer is a great match for food because of the complexity of its flavors, its ability to provide refreshment and to interact with many food flavors. When pairing beer and food, it all comes down to matching the food's flavors to the flavors of the beers. Learn what local craft and national brand beers go great with a variety of foods.  You will return home with the skills and confidence you need to purchase beers for your next party, dinner or for pure enjoyment. You will also take a field trip to a local brewery and receive recipes and guides to pairing great beers with great foods.

Objectives

Learn to pair a variety of local craft and national brand beers with a variety of foods.

Content

1. Information on basic pairing of beers with different flavors (spicy, savory, rich, crisp or acidic)

2. Learn how different beer can affect the flavors of foods.

3. Tour a local craft beer facility

4. Recipes and guides

Prerequisites

Must be 21 years of age to participate.
