Description

Join Hong Kong native Alice Jenks while she creates a selection of popular dishes that include: Dumplings, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, Stir Fried Beef and much more! You will also enjoy a class field trip to an oriental market and Dim Sum Restaurant.

Objectives

Learn to:

  • Select ingredients for Cantonese cooking from grocery store shelves
  • Identify Chinese cooking utensils, select seasonings and demonstrate cleaning, cutting, pre-seasoning, mixing, pre-cooking, stir frying, steaming, mix-boiling and deep frying.
  • Prepare chicken, pork, vegetable, beef and fish dishes, as well as soups and desserts.
