Fruit and Vegetable Carvings

Description

We say it’s okay to play with your food!  Our chef instructor will illustrate and discuss cutting techniques using a variety of knives for fruits and vegetables. Students will learn methods to garnish a finished dish. This hands-on class will provide new knife skills that you can use to create simple yet decorative carvings.

Objectives

Learn:

  • How to use chef and paring knives in your home kitchen.
  • A variety of advanced knife cuts, including fluting, tourne and julienne.

Learn the types of knives and special cutting techniques.
