Course Title
North Carolina Landscape Contractors' Exam Review Class


This 15-hour class, held over three evenings, will better prepare students to sit for the North Carolina Landscape Contractors' Examination. The material included in the general landscaping multiple choice exam and the Landscape Design exam will be covered; the plant ID portion is not included. Students should have read and studied the North Carolina Landscape Contractors’ Registration Board Study Manual which is available through NCLCRB at Please note: This is an exam prep course only. Students must contact the NCLCRB for the exam registration.


Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be better prepared to sit for the North Carolina Landscape Contractors’ Registration Board examination. Students should be able to demonstrate knowledge of legal issues affecting the Landscape Contractor, Design Documents and Bids, Climate & Weather of our area, Soils, Grading & Drainage, Landscape Installation, Establishing & Maintaining Turfgrass, Fertilizing, Pruning,& Pest Control, Irrigation Systems, and how to read a landscape plan.
