Tai Chi for Health

Description

Tai Chi has long been practiced for its many healthy benefits.  It has been shown to improve strength, balance, coordination, and circulation.  Participants have used Tai Chi as part of their treatment for arthritis, joint stiffness, hypertension, and diabetes.  This beginner’s course will provide an introduction to the healthy experience of Tai Chi.

Objectives

To introduce the practice of Tai Chi as it relates to health.

To understand the philosophy of mind and body, and vigorous spirit with the philosophy of Tai Chi

To practice the movements of Tai Chi for personal gain and enrichment.
