Environmental Monitoring

Information Technology Services (ITS) has partnered with several departments to provide a centrally-managed environmental monitoring and reporting system.  We currently monitor a large array of items ranging from the large walk in coolers containing perishable produce to one-of-a-kind items secured in the CPCC Archive. 

Features

ITS has standardized on American Power Conversion (APC) products to provide this service. Leveraging APC's ISX Central we currently can provide monitoring and reporting for the following environmental sensor types:

  • Temperature
  • Relative Humidity
  • Dew point
  • Moisture (used to detect water leaks)
  • Air Flow
  • Noise
  • Motion

How much does it cost?  

Each department has unique needs based on many factors, so these questions are answered best after meeting with the environmental monitoring team. There is no charge for this visit. During this initial visit, the ITS representative will discuss the environmental monitoring service as a whole and pricing models.

The following is the predicted resolution time for Service Requests. The priority of a request is determined by the Analyst assisting the client. Several factors are taken into account when assigning a priority including urgency of the request, current backlog of requests, and existence of alternatives.

During these hours of operation, the Help Desk will respond to any phone calls. However, during busy times, or if a client chooses to leave a voicemail, the Help Desk will return the call to the client within 2 Hours. This is the same for any emails sent to the Help Desk.
